Sacred Openings

Your Birth, Your Choice

If you're a first-time parent and you're looking to have someone in the labor room who's done it before to help support you and your partner, you're not alone -
 I'm here to help

How will a birth doula benefit you?

1

Solid Continuous Labor Support

After working with me, my clients feel like they have gone through the wildest and most challenging two days of their lives, full of sensations, emotions, experiences, and circumstances they could not have foreseen or really be prepared for, all with a steady, solid presence by their side.

As your doula, I will be your rock.

2

Partner Support

If you're the non-birthing parent and you're not sure how best to support your partner during labor, you're not alone!

As your doula, I am here to demystify the partner role, reminding you that you don't have to be a birth guru to show up as a supportive partner in the birthspace.

3

2nd, 3rd, etc. -time Parent Support

If you're a new parent for the second, third, or fourth time and you're looking for a redemptive birth, to feel different and do things differently this time - to do the things you were wanting and planning to do last time - you are not alone.

As your doula, I am here to help you process your previous experiences, to get clear on what you want for yourself this time, and to create space in the birthroom for your voice to be heard.

During labor, nothing will go as planned, but you will come from a place of choice

If you're two days postpartum, and you're leaking everywhere, your baby won't stop crying, and you're overwhelmed, you're not alone - I'm here to help

How will a postpartum doula benefit you?

1

New Mother/Birthing Parent Continuous Care

If you're a postpartum parent and you're missing the amount of care and attention you received while you were pregnant, you're not alone.

Many postpartum parents feel abandoned and pushed to the side once their babies are born -while before, your care was your baby's care, now the focus is entirely on your baby.

As your doula, I am here to help close that care gap by focusing on you: your healing, your needs, etc.

2

Assistance with Baby Care

If you're a postpartum parent, and you enjoyed that first night or two at the hospital because there were people around to answer questions about your baby - how to put their diaper on, if they were making "normal" noises, or were they having trouble breathing? - you are not alone!

Whether you're a brand new parent or you're wondering how best to integrate your new addition to the family with your older babies, everyone can use some additional help in the beginning.

As your postpartum doula, I am here to answer questions about babycare, assist with breastfeeding, get you a meal and some water, assist with family/sibling integration, etc. - whatever you need to ease this transition with your new and growing family!

3

Get some more SLEEP!

If you're a new postpartum parent and didn't realize how tired you would be and just need more sleep, you are not alone!

As your doula, I am here to make sure the household keeps running and your child(ren) are cared for while you catch up on your sleep!

After working with me, my postpartum clients feel like they've fully completed their pregnancy care - that someone was there to support and honor their growth along the way - and now they are ready to move forward as confident parents to their new baby!

"Kayla was such a transformative part of my birthing experience. Her kind nature and her ability to be a firm advocate for me in my birth transformed my experience. She advocated for my wishes and stayed present with me throughout my long labor, reminding me of my body's abilities and how my body was working with me to bring my baby earthside. I am forever grateful!"
