Blessingway Ritual
Also called a Mother Blessing or Blessingway Ceremony, a Blessingway Ritual is a sacred gathering of your closest family and friends in which you are honored, loved, supported, and cherished as a part of your emotional, mental, and spiritual preparation for labor.
What does a Blessingway Ritual Entail?
We will begin by cleansing our energy fields with sacred smoke and calling in our Guides and Ancestors. We will then move through:
-
fear-releasing ritual
-
massage/loving touch for birthing parent
-
blessing of birthing parent
-
oracle card reading
-
labor necklace
-
water magic ritual
-
plant sweeping/brushing
-
protection bundle
-
birth art
Support Investment: $500
Closing of the Bones Ceremony
A closing of the bones ceremony is a practice of tightly wrapping a new parent in rebozos - traditional, woven, Mexican cloths - from head to toe. The tight binding provides a comforting, womb-like atmosphere into which the new parent can cocoon. When they are ready, the unwrapping process begins, and the new parent emerges as someone new.
Included in the ceremony is an opportunity for the parent to give voice to their emotions and experiences of labor and the postpartum period.
*Included in the Complete Package*
Support Investment: $300
Placenta Encapsulation
Placenta encapsulation is a way for the birthing parent to ingest their placenta postpartum. Your placenta will be dehydrated, ground up into a fine powder, and then put into pill capsules for you to take daily, or as needed during your postpartum period.
Women report less intense mood swings and a more abundant milk supply when ingesting their placentas, which have been attributed to the high levels of hormones and vitamins & minerals in the placenta. Placenta encapsulation can be a wonderful way to care for yourself postpartum!
Please note: Ingesting your placenta is contraindicated if any of these conditions are present:
-
smoking or drinking during pregnancy
-
maternal or neonatal infection during or shortly after childbirth
-
chorioamnionitis (infection of the placental membranes)
-
improper storage of the placenta
-
Group B Strep positive
Support Investment: $185
