Please reach me at kayla.m.brookins@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
A doula is a non-medical support person who is present to support a pregnant person and their partner (if applicable) throughout pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. I hold space for you to move through the emotions and spiritual growth of pregnancy, labor, and postpartum as well as provide education and community resources. My support is focused on the pregnant person, who can sometimes be lost among the excitement for the new baby.
I primarily attend births at home and in birth centers, but am open to attending hospital births as well. If you have a question about a specific location, send me an email or schedule a free consultation!
I report to a birth when the laboring person is in active labor (i.e. when you move to the birth space).
For birth clients, which includes those choosing the Birth Package or Complete Package, I will travel up to 2 hours from Brattleboro, VT.
For postpartum clients, which includes those choosing the Postpartum Package, I will travel up to 1 hour 30 minutes from Brattleboro, VT.
I support clients in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts..
In the event that a hospital transfer is necessary, I will accompany you to the hospital and continue to provide support until 2 hours post-delivery, provided this is in line with hospital policy.
