A closing of the bones ceremony is a practice of tightly wrapping a new parent in rebozos -- traditional, woven Mexican cloths -- from head to toe. The tight binding provides a comforting, womb-like atmosphere into which the new parent can cocoon. When they are ready, the unwrapping process begins, and the new parent emerges as someone new.
When received postpartum, this practice closes out the wide-open birth energy, allowing the parent to more fully ground back down into their body.
Included in the ceremony is an opportunity for the parent to give voice to their emotions and experiences of labor and the postpartum period.
A Closing ceremony is included in the Complete Package.
*While traditionally offered as a postpartum ritual, this ceremony can be held for anyone going through a major life transition, moving through grief or celebration.*
